Tune Up Your Bass

Every room is different. Every speaker is different. So how a speaker performs in a room is going to vary to such an extent, no speaker manufacturer can plan for every contingency.

Fortunately, they don't have to. For those wanting that extra level of performance, there's Audyssey. Bringing their EQ expertise to a wider audience is the Sub Equalizer, which should bring out all new performance from your sub.

Designed to work with any receiver/pre-pro, the Sub Equalizer works some EQ magic to make sure your room and your sub are happily working together.

Like the other stand-alone Audyssey products, your custom installer takes audio measurements from different places in your room. Audyssey then figures out how your sub and room are interacting. Then a custom EQ curve is created, and this is inputted into the Sub EQ. The result is tighter, more accurate bass.

The Sub EQ can also let you add additional subwoofers with ease. Multiple subs isn't a recipe for more bass (ok, not JUST a recipe for more bass), but a way for you to help eliminate some of the problems in your room before any EQ is even applied.
