No, really. Invisible.

Ok, so they're not invisible, but they are completely hidden from sight. The new DesignerSeries from Triad are made to be mounted flush with a wall, and then sealed up and hidden from view.

Not only do they get you sound where speakers would be aesthetically meh, they allow you to put speakers in environments that wouldn't be speaker friendly.

Triad DesignerSeries closeupOnly requiring a little more than an inch to be mounted, the DesignerSeries eschews traditional woofers and tweeters for an electro mechanical transducers that turn the front surface into the sound radiator. In other words, the plaster you put over this speaker itself becomes part of the speaker.

Depending on the number of transducers, you get different total output. For smaller rooms, there are two, single transducer models in the line. One is mono, the other stereo, and each are capable of 95 dB in output. For medium rooms, there are a stereo and mono models capable of 99 dB. For larger rooms there is a mono model that can pump out 105 dB.

While frequency response is rated at 100 Hz to 20 kHz, Triad requires you to roll of at 120 Hz with one of their high-pass filters. Don't want to go too low and rattle that plaster off, right?

Because they're sealed off from the rest of the room, they can go in high-humidity enviroments like bathrooms, pool areas, or Miami.

All models are shipping now.
