Denon’s new A/V receiver, the AVR-4311CI, is now available and has been chosen as a finalist in the 2010 CEDIA Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards.

The 9.2-channel Network receiver includes a variety of advanced features. It has the Audessey MultEQ 32 Room Correction, which has 32 times the resolution quality than that of the current MultEQ XT system. Additionally, it has Audessey’s new Sub EQ HT that allows the AVR-4311CI to have access to the highest level of audio playback quality.

In order to prevent disruptive spikes in audio playback, the receiver includes Dolby Volume, which helps control the volume during commercials or program changes.

The AVR-4311CI has seven HDMI inputs and two parallel HDMI outputs, including a single front-panel HDMI input for added convenience.

This Denon model also is the first A/V receiver to include a “PreAmp Mode”. This allows configurations as if it were a true pre-amp/processor. Pre-amp outputs let you to add external amplifiers. In this scenario, internal amplifiers would normally still be active, generating heat and consuming power; but with the AVR-4311CI, this problem is eliminated by disconnecting external amplifiers from the power supply section. All other operating components receive the purest power , as well as eliminate the chance of any ‘noise’.

The Pre Amp mode also has a setting where selected amplifier channels can be configured for multi-zone use, while the main zone amplifiers are shut down.

Video quality is enhanced when analog and digital video sources are upconverted via Anchor Bay Technologies VRS processing to HD quality (up to 1080p/24/60). All Denon CI models feature built-in HD Radio for improved fidelity.

The AVR-4311CI is compatible with loads of today’s home entertainment source components, including the Apple iPod and iPhone.
